Biktima

'' BIKTIMA ''
“Don’t be so serious when watching Biktima. Have fun. This way, you won’t feel like a bad film’s victim.” “It’s seemingly trying to make a statement about the kidnappings in the country, but it does it in the most oblique, strangely insulting way possible.” “For a flick that’s supposed to conjure high drama, thrill and edge-of-your-seat suspense, Biktima drove me to ennui. ” Alice de la Cruz (Angel Aquino) is a TV reporter on assignment on the island of Kamandao. While there, she gets caught up in ambush and is abducted. Back home, everybody thinks that she died in the attack. Her husband Mark (Cesar Montano) mourns her death and struggles to take care of their son. He gets some help from Alice’s best friend Sandra (Mercedes Cabral), and in a moment of passion, they sleep with each other. Six months later, Alice turns up alive, though she doesn’t remember all the details of her ordeal. She returns home to a husband that thought she was dead, and a best friend who seems to have wormed her way into their life. As Alice remembers details of her abduction, she grows unstable, and begins to take it out on her family.
